
Johannesburg – The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has announced the fuel price adjustments for May, leading to reduced costs at the pumps.
Effective next week, Wednesday (7 May 2025), and considering current local and international factors, the fuel prices will change as follows:
- Petrol 93 (ULP & LRP): A reduction of twenty-two cents per litre (22.00 c/l).
- Petrol 95 (ULP & LRP): A decrease of twenty-two cents per litre (22.00 c/l).
- Diesel (0.05% sulphur): A drop of forty-two cents per litre (42.00 c/l).
- Diesel (0.005% sulphur): A reduction of forty-one cents per litre (41.00 c/l).
- Illuminating Paraffin (wholesale): A decrease of thirty-one cents per litre (31.00 c/l).
- SMNRP for IP: A reduction of forty-one cents per litre (41.00 c/l).
- Maximum LPGas Retail Price: An increase of forty-six cents per kilogram (46.00 c/kg).
The fuel price schedule for different zones will be released on Tuesday (6 May 2025).
