The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) police have launched a manhunt for those behind the shocking murders of five men in the Bambayi region of Inanda. Reports suggest that the victims were viciously attacked with a bush knife.

KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda reported that officers responded to the scene after receiving alerts about a mass murder early Friday morning.

“Upon arriving at the crime scene, three bodies were discovered at a sports field next to a school, while the other two were located in a field about a kilometer away from the initial site,” Netshiunda elaborated.

Victims Kidnapped and Viciously Assaulted

Preliminary investigations reveal that the victims, aged 19 to 26, were abducted from their homes around midnight. Their bodies, which exhibited multiple injuries, were found shortly after 6:30 a.m.

“One of the victims was found with an arm chopped off,” Netshiunda noted, emphasizing the brutal nature of the attacks.

The motive for these ruthless murders remains unclear. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects to contact their local police station or call the Crime Stop hotline at 08600 10111.
