A Homecoming Opportunity

Galatasaray is presenting Ilkay Gundogan with the opportunity to prolong his career by an additional two years.

The renowned Turkish team, which Gundogan looked up to during his childhood, aims to match his current £150,000 weekly salary from Man City over the next two seasons.

Discussions have started regarding a potential transfer.

At 34, Gundogan is aware that the chances of receiving a similar offer from City are minimal, and he would need to show considerable improvement in his performance to be considered for even a one-year extension.

Italian Interest

AC Milan is deliberating whether to sign Kyle Walker or Marcus Rashford since an unusual rule prevents them from acquiring both players.

Both England internationals are in contention for potential loan moves to the Italian outfit in January.

Walker has also garnered attention from Inter Milan, with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that AC Milan is keen on him as well.

However, regulations in Serie A stipulate that Milan can only recruit one British player, due to changes initiated after Brexit.

The guidelines state that Italian clubs can register only two non-EU players annually, along with an extra position available for either an English or an Albanian player.

Chukwuemeka Pursued

Dortmund is reportedly keen on signing Chelsea’s rising star, Carney Chukwuemeka.

The 21-year-old was left out of Chelsea’s squad for their 5-0 victory over Morecambe and has yet to play in the Premier League.

Since his move from Aston Villa for about £20m in 2022, Chukwuemeka has made only five appearances in the Carabao Cup and Conference League this season.

According to Sky Germany, it is now anticipated that Chukwuemeka “is likely to leave” this month.

Mainoo’s Prospects Uncertain

Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, has urged Kobbie Mainoo to prove his worth for a lucrative new contract, amid Chelsea’s reported interest.

Despite Mainoo’s rapid ascent, he remains one of the club’s lower-paid players.

The young midfielder aspires to secure a salary increase to approximately £200,000 per week.

Nonetheless, the United head coach emphasizes that Mainoo still needs further development, stating, “Kobbie has shown significant progress in recent matches.

“However, there seems to be a misconception that he’s a finished product—he’s far from it.

“He possesses excellent attributes but can undoubtedly enhance his game further.”
