JAKE PAUL seems to have hinted at a potential matchup with Tyson Fury, shortly before the British boxing champion’s surprising retirement announcement.
Fury, whose brother Tommy defeated Paul in 2023, took to social media to disclose his intention to retire from boxing.
In response, YouTube star turned boxer Paul made a cryptic comment about a possible bout with the Gypsy King.
In a now-deleted post, he stated: “Well, there goes the big reveal. It appears we need to shift our focus to the other Fury.”
Fury has recently experienced consecutive losses against Oleksandr Usyk, 37, and seems to be on the brink of pulling out of a planned fight with Anthony Joshua, 35.
The 36-year-old shared on Instagram: “Hello everyone, I’ll keep this short. I’m officially announcing my retirement from boxing.”
“It’s been an amazing journey, and I’ve cherished every moment. I’ll conclude with this – Dick Turpin wore a mask.”
“God bless everyone, and see you on the other side.”
In the meantime, Paul, 27, recently secured a victory against Mike Tyson, 58, in a controversial match last November, which faced backlash due to the notable age difference.
The American is currently gearing up for his next fight, amidst rumors it could be against Fury’s brother, Tommy.

Tommy, who claimed victory over Paul by split decision in Saudi Arabia, has withdrawn from a fight against Darren Till, 32, following a threat from the former UFC fighter.
The 25-year-old ex-Love Island star mentioned he is now on the lookout for a new opponent.
This comes after Paul alleged that Fury rejected a £6.3 million ($8 million) offer for a rematch on Netflix.
