Mbombela (Nelspruit) – The leading Grade 12 Matric scholar in Mpumalanga will be awarded a brand new Toyota Vitz when the exam results are revealed next week.

“The top Grade 12 learner in the province for 2024 will receive a comprehensive bursary from the provincial government, an outstanding array of rewards, and a fully sponsored new vehicle,” stated Mpumalanga Education MEC Cathy Dlamini on Friday, January 10, 2025.

“This serves as a remarkable acknowledgment of the power of dedication, perseverance, and hard work.

“It highlights that with passion and commitment, success is not merely a distant aspiration – it can actually be achieved.

“Let this be a reminder that excellence is within reach, and as you strive for greatness, the rewards are limitless.”

Giving a sponsored vehicle to the province’s top Matric achiever has become a beloved custom, greatly encouraging Matric candidates to strive for excellence.

The recipient of the car will be revealed during the official provincial results ceremony taking place in Middleburg, Mpumalanga, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
