Lehlohonolo Seema, the head coach of Sekhukhune United, shared his thoughts on players Keletso Makgalwa and Katlego Otladisa, noting that Makgalwa appears to have regained his form as a key player within the Limpopo squad.

Following their 2-0 victory over AmaZulu at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday, Sekhukhune has moved up to fourth place in the Betway Premiership, amassing 20 points from 11 matches.

Seema expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, praising his technical staff for their precise evaluations of the opponents and commending his players for their focus during critical moments and for scoring at the end of both halves.

Another standout performance was by former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Makgalwa, who has become a vital part of the Limpopo team’s game plan this season, marking his 10th start in 11 matches.

The former Polokwane City coach reflected on Makgalwa’s evolution, stating that he has always respected him, even during times when others thought he had not met expectations in South Africa’s premier league.

“It’s incredibly inspiring to see a player, once written off, make a comeback and rejuvenate his career. His abilities have always been evident—it simply takes the right chance, opportunity, and support. He is fully taking advantage of this opportunity, alongside his teammates,” remarked Seema.

The 44-year-old coach also discussed the newly acquired winger, Otladisa, who recently joined the team on a six-month loan from Orlando Pirates.

Seema expressed his happiness with the acquisition, giving Otladisa his first start against Polokwane City last weekend, where he played the full match and received praise from the coach for his performance.

“With Otladisa, it’s clear that we secured him during this transfer window, and his performance showcases his confidence and energy, positively impacting the team. I’m also excited for our striker Andy Boyeli, who has now netted his second league goal,” he added.

With the January transfer window having been open for nine days, Sekhukhune is among the few teams that have already made a move in the market with Otladisa’s loan signing.

However, the coach mentioned that although he hasn’t yet discussed it with management, there are elements of the squad that may require some adjustments.

“In football, nothing is ever certain. I haven’t had conversations with my management yet, but as a technical team, we’re always exchanging ideas, so we’ll see. There might be one or two changes that need to be made, but it’s a continuous process,” he concluded.
