The Egyptian striker’s contract is set to end at the season’s conclusion.

Furthermore, Liverpool has yet to solidify an extension amidst rumors tying them to Saudi Arabia.

Salah has also implied that he is approaching the end of his tenure at Anfield.

He isn’t the only Liverpool player potentially facing a free transfer.

Reports indicate that Trent Alexander-Arnold might move to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

At the same time, Virgil van Dijk is also being targeted by multiple European clubs.

Nevertheless, Carragher believes Van Dijk has exhibited admirable composure by not commenting on the situation.

He advised Salah to emulate his captain’s example given the forward’s recent vague social media post featuring a picture of himself with Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold.

Carragher remarked on Sky Sports: “Ooh, I’m not entirely certain. What I can say is that Van Dijk has emerged from this whole scenario this season as captain of the club with my greatest respect.

“It’s due to his behavior, on-pitch performances, and leadership abilities.

“His attitude was commendable, and he steered clear of getting too involved with the surrounding controversies. This is certainly a crucial time for all three players.

“Yet, rather than focusing on Trent Alexander-Arnold or Mo Salah, I would prefer to highlight Virgil van Dijk.

“I believe he has truly exemplified leadership. He’s addressed questions adeptly and remains focused on winning the league while giving his all for Liverpool. We can only wish he signs.

“However, I think the other two could benefit from taking cues from Virgil van Dijk’s professionalism.”

Carragher’s remarks prompted a response from Salah on social media.

Salah joked: “I’m starting to think you’re obsessed with me.”

Carragher quickly responded: “I’ve always had a fascination with you. Hopefully, that intrigue extends into next season.”

Fans joined the banter, with one commenting: “No way Salah himself tweeted this.”

Another added: “Did NOT see that coming.”

One fan advised: “Stay focused on the pitch.”

Another remarked: “Thought this was a hoax, but it’s legit!”
