KYLE WALKER continues to be a primary target for wealthy clubs in Saudi Arabia as the January transfer window approaches.

The Manchester City captain, who is 34, is facing a challenging season but has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

Walker indicated that he would “never say never” to a potential move to the Middle East when rumors first emerged last year—although he ultimately chose to pursue further trophies under Pep Guardiola.

Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Ittihad are still considered interested in negotiating with the England defender.

Nonetheless, a departure from City seems more probable in the summer instead of during the January transfer window, especially due to significant injuries affecting Guardiola’s squad.

The reigning Premier League champions improved their situation with a 2-0 victory over Leicester last Sunday.

Goals from Savinho and Erling Haaland secured crucial three points for City.

After the match, manager Guardiola expressed his “relief” about the outcome.

He stated: “I think it’s more relief than happiness; that feels like the right term.”

“In terms of performance, it wasn’t our best; I honestly didn’t anticipate that happening. Leicester performed better in the last 10-15 minutes of the first half and the last 15-20 of the second.”

“The match was hard-fought. We must make significant improvements. Our performances will enhance as our results improve; that’s for certain. Those stronger performances will return.”

“The showing against Everton was markedly better than today, yet we managed to win, which is vital in clearing our minds and demonstrating that we can indeed achieve victories.”

Erling Haaland swore during a live TV interview following Manchester City’s win as a Sky Sports reporter laughed nervously.

“I never anticipated it would be tough to win even a single game, but we certainly feel that now. Perhaps it’s a valuable learning experience.”

“This period has led us to reflect on our accomplishments and has made me reevaluate how challenging it can be to achieve what we’ve attained.”
