A group of fans from Bournemouth have been praised on social media for gifting a ticket to the World Darts Championship to a homeless individual.

Some Cherries supporters had an extra ticket for quarter-final night at Ally Pally on Wednesday after a friend could not make it.

Instead of selling the ticket or keeping it for themselves, the group chose to give it to a homeless man.

The fans, dressed in sombreros, offered the ticket to the individual and welcomed him to spend the evening with them.

The Metro also reported that they covered his entire evening expenses and arranged accommodation for him in a Travelodge hotel to ensure he wouldn’t have to sleep outdoors.

This heartwarming story gained traction online, racking up thousands of likes.
