What’s next for the rand against the dollar?

This year, the rand has experienced fluctuations, but it has shown only slight weakening overall. I discussed future forecasts for the rand with Petri Redelinghuys from Herenya Capital Advisors. He indicated that R16.82/$ is a feasible target, but it’s crucial to keep an eye on the US$ Index (DXY), as many movements in the rand are influenced by dollar changes.
