Durban – A young woman in her twenties sadly fell from a high-rise building, resulting in her death in the central business district of Durban.

Describing the tragic occurrence, ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson stated: “At approximately 12:00 on Saturday afternoon, ALS Paramedics were sent to a scene involving a patient who had fallen from a height of roughly five stories at Pine Parkade on Commercial Road in Durban CBD.”

When paramedics arrived, they found that the Metro Police Search and Rescue unit was already present.

“The medics were guided to a female, thought to be in her twenties, lying on the bustling roadway,” explained Jamieson.

“After an assessment, paramedics concluded that the woman had sustained critical injuries, and unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done to save her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“At this moment, the circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear.”

The police are presently investigating the situation.
