Ntsiki Mazwai has once again garnered attention, this time taking Minister Gayton McKenzie to task for supporting Unathi Nkayi amidst the ongoing dispute with Sizwe Dhlomo. The candid poet did not hold back as she voiced her dissatisfaction on her X (formerly Twitter), criticizing McKenzie for backing a “liar” while disregarding the facts.
In a widely circulated video, Gayton McKenzie is shown endorsing Unathi, but Ntsiki is firmly opposed. She argues that Unathi should face consequences for her efforts to undermine Sizwe’s career.

Ntsiki Mazwai Voices Her Concerns
On her X account, Ntsiki expressed her disbelief, questioning why the Minister would choose to ignore the reality:
“No guys… we literally heard live audio and saw Unathi concocting lies about another man. In a nation struggling with GBV, this is unacceptable. Men can’t even defend themselves against false claims. And Unathi? She has never stood up for other women, yet now she’s exploiting GBV for her own agenda.”
Support from Social Media
Ntsiki’s fans were not the only ones rallying behind her. Social media platforms echoed with comments from users sharing her views, asserting that Unathi is not the victim in this context and should not be treated as such.
@zmbulawa: “I was shocked that @GaytonMcK is supporting someone who attempted to get another man fired. Unathi has no shame—she literally tried to end Sizwe’s career. That’s not something you can just overlook.”
@Zwanemangetheh: “They’re trying to twist the story to make Unathi seem like the victim here. No, we’re not buying it.”
@Bruvva_Love: “For once, I completely agree with Ntsiki. Unathi was in the wrong, no doubt about it.”
@NubianSen: “Sizwe could’ve lost his job if not for the evidence. She hasn’t even apologized, and yet you all want to portray her as the victim?”

Sizwe Dhlomo has made it clear that he does not regret Unathi’s termination. He believes the evidence was compelling and is satisfied that the truth came to light. There’s no sympathy for Unathi, especially after she attempted to damage his reputation.
This entire incident has undoubtedly ignited conversations about the effects of false allegations and the need for accountability. It appears the drama is far from over, so stay tuned for future developments.
