Johannesburg – Gautrain is committed to providing safe and efficient transportation to and from the fully-booked Chris Brown weekend concerts.

A bus shuttle service is currently operational between Park Station and FNB Stadium.

“To ensure secure and hassle-free travel for concert attendees on 14 and 15 December 2024, Gautrain will be offering a specialized late-night service exclusively for concert-goers, along with bus shuttles running between Park Station and FNB Stadium,” mentioned Gautrain management.

“While the usual Gautrain services will cease at 20:30, the exclusive late-night service will begin post-concert, with the last train departing Park Station at 00:00,” Gautrain management further explained.

“Regular Gautrain train, bus, and parking fares will be applicable for this service.”

This Gautrain operation for the Chris Brown concert is part of a wider public transport strategy involving various transportation providers across the province, designed to accommodate the anticipated large crowds.

According to Tshepo Kgobe, CEO of Gautrain Management Agency, the Gautrain is fulfilling its essential role of providing an effective public transport service that caters not only to daily commuters for work, business, and education but also to significant social, sports, and lifestyle events in Gauteng.

“The integrated public transport services for the Chris Brown concert will assist in alleviating road congestion and reducing accidents, while encouraging the use of public transport over personal vehicles,” Kgobe stated.

Key details of the Gautrain service include:

• Bus shuttle service operating between Park Station and FNB Stadium
• The first bus departs from Park Station to FNB Stadium at 11:00
• The last bus from FNB Stadium to Park Station leaves at 23:30
• The final train from Park Station will depart at 00:00
• For convenience, passengers may use their contactless bank cards for travel payments or acquire a Gautrain card for R20.
