U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has revealed that venture capitalist David Sacks from Craft Ventures will serve as the White House’s AI and crypto czar. This newly created position aims to help position the U.S. as the leading crypto capital globally.
Sacks will oversee regulations pertaining to both artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency, in addition to developing legal frameworks for these sectors. Furthermore, he will lead the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

This position aims to enhance advocacy for crypto, aligning with the president’s strategies. Sacks will act as a liaison between Trump, Congress, and relevant crypto agencies, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
David Sacks backs Trump’s campaign
As reported by Bloomberg, Sacks plays a vital role in enhancing campaign funding within the tech industry, given his background as a venture capitalist in San Francisco. He also maintains a close relationship with Vice President-elect JD Vence.
In his new role, Sacks will collaborate closely with Elon Musk, the Director of the Department of Government of Efficiency (D.O.G.E). Like Elon, Sacks, as a special government employee, is not required to publicly disclose his assets and can serve for up to 130 days each year.
