A dedicated fan of MANCHESTER UNITED alleges he was “removed” from the FA Cup draw at Old Trafford after voicing his worries about the rising ticket prices during a live BBC broadcast.
The third-round draw occurred at the home ground of the reigning champions Man Utd on Monday evening.
Ruben Amorim’s team was matched against the record 14-time champions Arsenal in an exciting clash at the Emirates Stadium.
In the meantime, one enthusiastic supporter took the opportunity during the draw to send a message to the club’s owners.
Ticket prices at Old Trafford have skyrocketed to an astonishing £66 per game.
Moreover, the club has eliminated discounts for children and seniors, resulting in protests right before their 4-0 victory over Everton on Sunday.
While BBC presenter Kelly Somers was broadcasting the FA Cup draw with the trophy at her side, she was surrounded by Man Utd fans.
As she addressed the camera, one fan held up a phone displaying the message: “£66 thieves”.
The protester later shared on X: “I got kicked out for this by the way.”
SunSport has reached out to Man Utd for their comments.

Man Utd’s Supporters’ Trust has also shown their dissatisfaction with the decision to increase ticket prices.
Since taking charge of football operations at Man Utd, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has initiated several cost-reduction strategies.
He has laid off 250 staff members, halted payments for Sir Alex Ferguson’s £2 million annual ambassadorial fee, cancelled the Christmas party, and terminated the use of company credit cards and private drivers.
Additionally, he has cut staff lunches, accommodations, extra tickets, and post-match celebrations.
In addition to the highly awaited encounter between Arsenal and Man Utd, several other noteworthy third-round matches include Manchester City vs Salford, Tamworth vs Tottenham, and Everton vs Peterborough – with the latter potentially featuring Ashley Young going against his son Tyler.
All matches are set for the weekend of January 11, 2025.
The 32 teams that advance from the third round will earn £115,000, while those that lose will receive £25,000.
All matches will conclude on the same day, as replays have been eliminated, with extra time and penalties in case of a tie.
