A seven-time champion at the Crucible, O’Sullivan admires Wilson’s ability to manage pressure after his first world title victory this year.

The Rocket shared with Eurosport: “Ultimately, it depends on the individual; the burden of expectation can be overwhelming for some and may hinder their careers.

“However, those with talent and pedigree typically rise to the occasion, achieving remarkable success.”

“Kyren undoubtedly exemplifies that description and is on a path to capturing numerous esteemed titles.”

O’Sullivan further remarked: “He reminds me of Scottie Scheffler, the golfer.

“While many players can hit the ball far and have various skills, Wilson excels in all aspects of the game, making him a formidable opponent when he’s in peak form.”
